IMD Release... 1 step up from last year
In "The World Competitiveness Scoreboard 2011" released by the Switzerland's International Institute for Management Development(IMD), S.Korea ranks 22nd in global competitiveness, which is the "best ever" ranking one step higher from last year.
According to "The World Competitiveness Scoreboard 2011" published by the IMD on 18th, S.Korea has recieved a score of 78.5 out of 100, 22nd in terms of world competitiveness among the 59 countries studied. Not only the ranking climbed by one step from last year, but it also is the highest ranking since 1997 when S.Korea was included in the survey.
Among 4 evaluation criteria, Government Efficiency and Corporate Efficiency each ranked 22nd and 26th, higher than 4 and 1 steps from last year, respectively.
Infrastructure ranked 20th for 3 straight years.
IMD's Competitiveness Evaluation has been known to have some limits, but is still known as one of the most authoritative data for comparing nations' competiveness along with Switzerland's Think Tank "Wolrd Economic Forum(WEF)"
